Community Building Experience:

2016: Security for the St. Cloud Children’s Home

In early 2016, as a part of the match program with Toyota Motor Sales, St. Cloud Toyota donated $10,000 to Catholic Charities of St. Cloud. In the community, the Catholic Charities St. Cloud Children’s Home has been working with youth for more than 90 years. Today, it is a residential mental health treatment facility for young people ages 9-18. The source of need for the organization was a lack of security throughout their building. Our solution was to donate funds for a security camera system to be installed in all the public areas throughout the home. This allowed for staff the respond to incidents in a prompt and correct manor. My involvement included;

• Identified a source of need with Catholic Charities

• Obtained match through Toyota Motor Sales to double St. Cloud Toyota's contribution

• Worked with Catholic Charities to develop a press release

• Coordinated schedules to host a formal check presentation at the dealership.
