Event Experience:

October 2016: St. Cloud Toyota - First Annual Classic Carshow

With any first annual event, you are assured to learn a lot from the experience. In October of 2016, the St. Cloud Toyota team decided to host their First Annual Classic Car Show. The expectations for the first event was to bring in around 25 entries and have an estimated attendance of 150 people in throughout the day. After all, well established events take time to grow year-over-year. The entire team was pleasantly surprised when the first show brought in 76 entries and over 500 people in attendance. Our thoughts for a smaller show went out the window and had everyone excited to return in 2017. My responsibilities for the event included:

  • Organized volunteers to assist with registration, parking, running a raffle, distributing voting cards, tallying votes, and afterwards cleanup of the event.

  • Determined an organization to donate car show profits to.

  • Coordinated event activities and entertainment (DJ, bounce house, food truck, etc.)

  • Functioned as main photographer for the event.

  • Delivered closing remarks and congratulated winners.
