Event Experience:
February 2015: Toyota Night Out
Toyota Night Out developed from an idea to change Minnesota attitudes about going out during the wintery months of January and February. After living in Central Minnesota for three years, I concluded that the lineup of summer events that brought people together seemed to stop come winter. It was time to for an event series that got people off the couch and out into the community for a night of local music. The event series took place at three local coffee shops (Rock Creek Coffeehouse, Liquid Assets, and Dunn Brothers Sartell). In addition to the local music, attendees to each event got to register for a $1,000 gift certificate to Bursch Travel. Allowing for an additional way to capitalize on the wintery months as spring break was right around the corner. The final result, an estimated attendance of 400 people between the three events and just over 500 entries into our drawing for the travel certificate. Additional responsibilities and achievements included:
Coordinated local musicians to play at each event.
Pitched and secured three coffee house locations to host and provide prizes at each event.
Obtained Bursch Travel as an additional sponsor for the event series.
Developed and implemented marketing material to promote event (Banners, posters, social media posts, etc.)
